The Dodgeball in the Kingdom has achieved major leaps during the year 2024, thanks to the great efforts of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al Saud, President of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, and his team.
Since its establishment a few years ago, the Saudi Dodgeball Federation has aimed to introduce the game in order to expand its practice base in the Kingdom and discover new talents that would form the nucleus of national teams. These are the goals that achieved major successes during the year 2024, which represents a new start for dodgeball in the Kingdom.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation, headed by His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al Saud, launched its strategy during the year 2024 through several axes through which it aimed to expand the participation base in addition to enhancing its community participation in a way that contributes to attracting more people wishing to practice the sport, which has attracted the interest of many young men and women and juniors of both genres, which was reflected in the tournaments held by the Saudi Dodgeball Federation in several regions of the Kingdom.
During 2024, the cities of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam witnessed great activity by the Saudi Dodgeball Federation to expand the base of participation by holding various tournaments for all categories “women – men – juniors under 16 years old”.
The number of tournaments organized by the Saudi Dodgeball Federation during the past year reached 19 tournaments in which more than 1000 players participated, including 936 male players and 111 female players.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation was keen to hone the skills of coaches in order to form a distinguished generation of coaches, along with forming a nucleus of players in various national teams in their different age groups, as 75 coaches benefited during the year from specialized technical training courses held by the Federation and harnessed all capabilities to achieve the desired goals.
* Global Certificates
As a culmination of these efforts, the Saudi Dodgeball Federation has obtained more than one global certificate during the year 2024, as the Saudi Federation obtained international recognition for applying the quality management specifications “ISO 9001”, which represents the culmination of its efforts in following and applying the best leading global practices in the field of quality management and corporate governance.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation also obtained the Best Work Environment Certificate for the year 2023 from the global organization for workplace culture Great Place To Work Certified.
This certificate is one of the most reliable evaluation certificates in the world after developing its model over thirty years of research in the field of excellence in the work environment, along with the best global practices in major companies.
* Successful Partnerships
The year 2024 witnessed intensive activity from the Saudi Dodgeball Federation, and with the efforts and support of His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al Saud, the Federation concluded many distinctive partnerships and cooperation agreements, all of which serve to achieve the goals of the Saudi Federation to expand the base of participation and enhance the societal role of the Federation.
The Saudi Federation signed an agreement with Dar Al Fikr Schools in Jeddah, which aims to spread the game among physical education teachers and students and train them to practice this sport.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation also signed a partnership agreement with the Saudi University Sports Federation, which is part of the Saudi Dodgeball Federation’s efforts to work with all bodies and entities in the Kingdom to serve the spread of the game and contribute to achieving Vision 2030 at the sports sector level by promoting the practice of sports activities and spreading them in society.
The Saudi Dodgeball Federation has concluded several cooperation agreements with companies including Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors, OvaPac – Green Vision, THE FROST, FOOD FITNESS, Saudi Coffee Company ELIXER BUNN, and others.
* Vision for the Future
In 2025, the Saudi Dodgeball Federation looks forward to continuing to work towards achieving more achievements and successes that contribute to enhancing the status of the game in Saudi society and participating in achieving the goals of Vision 2030 in terms of advancing society in sports and continuing efforts to form teams capable of consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a pioneering sports force.
